took a group of 6 plus me to Powers Garden but first we did a trip to the top of Kennedy peak. Found very little water in Corral spring and then some in the canyon downstream- stayed at a campsite above Powers Spring which was flowing slowly. Had an upclose encounter with a doe and finished the hike with a side trip to check out Deer Creek Cabin. Followed a trail up and over some hills and took the fenceline back to the trailhead.
campsite low: 33°
water cond: scarce
fall color: in pockets
wildlife: seldom, but tame

water was found at: NAD83 ElevFeet
