After a long couple of days working at the Payson store, I headed for my old playground. I started up the trail at 4 pm amid bright fall colors, and made it to the tunnel within 40 minutes. I took a lot of photos at the tunnel for an upcoming project, then decided to head for the top of the Rim. Passed two bikers and checked out the Battle Of Big Dry Wash monument before heading down in the fading light. I arrived at my truck at dark, and quickly managed to lock myself out After trying to break into my truck for some time, I gave up and called a locksmith, then enjoyed bright stars while laying in the bed of the truck, waiting for him to arrive. Made it back to Payson around 10 pm, and decided to spend another night there. Checked into Motel 6, then promptly checked out after finding short 'n' curlies in the sheets Days Inn was a much better choice!
