I and two companions started out early. The early morning sky was blue and orange. It was between 36 and 42 degrees at the trail head depending upon whose thermometer you believed( three hikers all swearing by their car thermometer). We all agreed it was chilly and we all started this hike with jackets on. The hike up was uneventful. There is water in the pools. As the morning progressed there were many more hikers. And the wind started blowing. We went a little beyond the pools following the trail to where it starts to break right and climb. The down hill was slow going due to the number of hikers.
