Superb as usual, lots of colors and evidence the canyon had flooded some by the rock flows across the mellow trail. Quite a few photogs in there along with a few birding fans. Still, I felt I had the place to myself, and as usual I was off the trail frequently with the camera.
More golds and oranges, some reds, quite cold early, felt as if my face would freeze off.
One more unwelcome change, much more trash than I remember, perhaps from immigrant traffic, clothing, a few water bottles, etc.

Left there looking for a cave I had heard about, miraculously found it without a map or trail, small, but pretty cool, some late 1800's signatures; I need to look up the names.
