Planned a 'round the lake hike to take pictures of birds. The duck hunters were out and the birds were way out in the middle of the lake--except for a duck that had a log to hide under. No eagles or osprey today, but I saw a heron catch a fish! Took some extra time to track down a cow that kept making a terrible cry--finally found her, and her calf was on the other side of the fence.
