Hike Mt. Lemmon today from Catalina State park with some friends. Great day for a hike, just cool enough, about 4-5 inches of snow for the last 2k feet. If I were doing it again I would skip the Wilderness of Rocks trail and stick with the Mt Lemmon trail. Just too much downhill on Wilderness of Rocks trail, waste of hard gained elevation. Took me 8hr 19 to reach the towers on the summit, that was with 2 hours of breaks along the way. Hiked 2 miles back to the ski runs where we had a truck waiting for us, thanks Tommy.
