Snow Dogs???

Lynn, Skippy and I headed up to Flagstaff today to kidnap Hannah's dog Pauli for a romp in the Hart Prairie snow. Perfect crisp weather with no wind making the walk in the snow about as good as it gets.

We dropped off Hannah's early Xmas presents to get her through the chilly December days at NAU. Scooped up Pauli and headed off to Michelbach Ranch Ruins on Hart Prairie leaving Hannah alone at her condo to finish off a term paper. Hilarious seeing the 2 dogs race through the snow in a canine version of tag.

After checking out the ruins, made our way to the west until we came to some fenced private property. Continued heading north along the fence line until we picked up a familiar ridge and headed east back towards FR151 completing a loop hike.

Some interesting "mucky-muck" along FR141 near the Bismarck Lake trail head and the Hockderffer Hills, but the F-150 was up to the challenge. Saw plenty of hunting camps set up along FR151, some complete with skinned carcasses strung up in the trees...
