On the SE end of the loop I came photographed a young rattlesnake coiled up on the edge of the trail, my first of the year. Also photographed a bright blue-spotted lizard. Wildflowers are really starting to come out in this area, and groundcover in spots is pretty green. Nice views of mountains in the region from this trail. Several people out (probably 30 on the trail I passed), many of whom were elderly and some of whom were a bit lost.

Difficulty for me:   (of 5)
Wildflowers Observation Moderate
