| | | | A Great Adventure
We did a full loop starting at the upper bridge and coming back through the creek. This must be the perfect time of year to go! It was very warm at the top with beautiful views. Then, there was enough water to take a cool clean dip in the creek. (If only we had a little more time.)
I am new to this so I wasn't sure how to accurately grade this hike or the time. I can say that to do 'our loop' you really should start early and plan on it taking quite awhile to come back through the creek, especially if you are trying to find the best route not to get wet. Also bring a lot of water I had 100oz but it wasn't quite enough, and I usually can do well conserving water. I highly recommend long pants the cat claw was really thick in places.
I loved the creek it was so great to see a place like this so close to the city. The creek was full of huge rocks to climb through and shaded with beautiful trees. I enjoyed the sandy areas and the variety of river rocks; I even was excited to see a few places in the creek that were slime free and deep enough to swim! I may go back there soon, this time just to visit the large sunbathing rocks and the swimming holes before they disappear.
