Quick trip to see if the water was running here-nope! No climbers around this afternoon--probably still too cold. Many big, old trees have been blown down all along this area. Note to climbers: one of the two big Ponderosas just above Gold Pond has blown down. I followed the canyon to the Prow, then north along the main canyon, but did not find any more anchor trees down. Drove over to White Horse Lake's far end to hike the perimeter of the lake. Massive blow down of huge old Ponderosas. I measured the biggest at 98 feet using my GPS, with at least 8 feet of rootball. The osprey were back building nests, fishing and calling to each other. The nests look like they have alot of wind damage, too.
