A little cool for a June day but, great for hiking. The temperature in the upper Catalina's was in the low 50s. We had a few sprinkles as we made our way up the Aspen Draw and through the Meadow. By the time we got to the fire lookout the rain and wind picked up, so we took a short snack break and headed back. By the time we reached the top of Mt Lemmon the sun was back out. Saw a few wildflowers here and there.
Driving down the Mt Lemmon highway we got stopped for over an hour by the Sherrif's Department at Soldier Canyon. A rock climber had fallen in the canyon and the DPS Rescue Helicopter was using the highway for a landing zone.
