This was done with my friend who is heading to the Pacific NW next week to do some mountaineering and visit family. He also brought another fellow from the valley. We left the trail where it meets the rock slide area (the Dutchman) and went up to the bomber wreck before we continued on to the summit. We took the trail all the way back down. It was really windy up there today, and not very warm. It was not stormy, so it was an improvement over my last two ascents. It was also very crowded as we must be reaching peak season. It would have been nice if it had been either warmer, or not windy. I don't know if I'll be boring enough to hike this again before the month is out, but I would like to do it sometime in July or early August to get some shots of endangered San Francisco Peaks groundsel when it flowers. That stuff is all over up there.

I think Monsoon season will begin around June 20, plus or minus 5 days, not by the calendar according to the NWS, but when dew points rise dramatically, and it begins to rain over the Sacramento Mountains. It will start about 10 days later in Arizona.
