The fee is now $5. Joe you need to update the description. Wanted to get out of Scottsdale so I picked this hike. Temps in the low 90's at the TH. Nice hike with moderate elevation gain. Saw about a dozen people on the trail today. Climbers are not allowed to climb between 2/15 and 7/15 because of Peregrine falcon nesting areas. I 'splored around a little at the top but did not have time to look for the trail to the summit. The prickly pear cacti and some cholla cacti were blooming. Some monsoon flowers and lots of butterflies. I enjoyed this hike and will probably come back to bag the summit.
