After coming down Apache Maid went up Bell trail Sunday and out Monday.
On Sunday I made it up again to the rim on Bell trail and tried to
finish the trail up there but it died out abruptly after 3mi and I
wasnt in the mood for finding it. So went back to camp halfway down to
the water. There are large pools along Beaver Creek to view from above but I
could see no easy way down to them. In the morning went back down Bell trail
to see the 'crack' swimming spot and then back down to the short
Wier trail to the water itself. Just roasted and swam in the creek for
many hours until those ever persistent storm clouds closed down the sun.
This 'beach time' was the best and amazingly quiet/clean for a popular trail.
