took the un-interesting Goat Canyon from tortilla pass down to the interesting fish creek. just another exploratory loop in the supes, with some off trail and some bushwhacking. the first mile up roger's canyon from angel basin was a hellish bushwhack, from there up to tortilla pass not so bad. mainly in the creekbed(s).

our stay at the handsome campsite near rough canyon was a treat, enough trees for all 4 hangers to stay close and hang out. and in the back, room for 3 tents.

there we spotted all along goat canyon, and some in fish creek, the largest amount of bear scat ive seen outside of reavis during apple season. mostly containing manzanita bush and berries.

it was a tough hike for most of us, i liked it. nice workout. the pool that nonot photoed in november '08 is still there, reliable apparently, albeit slightly green.
