Nice views to the Southwest of the farmland and un-developed plains - once you get to the climbing part! Nice easy climb with just enough of a workout, and a cool sunny day. Plenty bikers & runners out, including a woman w/two dogs leashed to her waistband!

The directions are a bit ambiguous - at post 46, you do take the side trail directly north! (:? Got to see a bit more of the Desert Classic trail than I set out to do.)
