Rough hike due to the steepness and poor condition of the trail. This is easily the toughest short hike I've ever done. This trail features very loose footing, a very steep grade, and lots of spots where using one's hands is a necessity. The first waterfall we had to conquer requires a rope, and the second waterfall was tougher IMO. I was jealous of Vaporman's canyoneering skills. Nice to meet Marty the camera pro, Tom, Mark, Alex, Brian, and Spiderman Dave.
Great introduction to the Sierra Anchas. Saw some hunters hounding a lion (in their truck). Not very sporting if you ask me. At least use horses, fellas. Sounds like I just missed seeing a flock of turkeys near the trailhead.
