After about a week of rain, 2 of my friends and I set out for a trip to Reavis Ranch.

The trailhead was very dry, but we encountered more water as we gained elevation. Near Castle Dome we started hiking through a couple inches of snow. After Windy Pass there was significantly more water and snow. Several sections of the trail were muddy and flowing with water. The ranch itself was under about 4"-6" of snow.

By the next morning most of the snow had melted on the trail, but it was still muddy on the SE side of Windy Pass.

Overall, this was a great hike. It was much cooler than I expected for that time of year, and the amount of snow surprised all three of us. But I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone interested in a close to Phoenix overnight trip.
