Devil's Bridge - 3 Options

1999
Here is a nice trail to Sedona's oldest and tallest arch! The trail is mostly an old jeep road. Trail work has been done to help prevent further erosion of the area. I especially enjoyed the area because the forest seemed so vibrant. Almost a Christmas feeling as the deep forest green colors are mixed with red sandstone backgrounds. The bridge was fun to check out from all angles hi and low. This would be a great hike to take the kids on! The rewards of this hike are easy to conquer. You should have plenty of time to explore other fascinating Sedona trails on the same day!

Getting up to the arch is not too difficult. Continue past the arch and the trail turns into a narrow sandstone ledge within minutes. There's one section where tall people will likely need to crouch down a bit. Soon you come to a ravine and it's an easy climb up. Once up, follow a use-trail back to the arch. You can walk across the arch as it's wide and strong enough to not be scary. There's also a route up to the arch just before reaching it. I have not tried that route.

2013
This is now a tourist hotspot. An official trail has been worked all the way to above the bridge. Which is now before the bridge.
