Camp Goddard may have been the best experience of my life. In the 8th grade, I got a shirt stating I'd canoed the Illinois. Perhaps a few miles, loved the experience nonetheless. The Arizona National Scenic Trail was made possible by the great members of HAZ. Albeit semi-conscious, Isis Temple is hands down the most gratifying memory.

June 2010 Bruce suggested a hike from Carney to the Flatiron and back as a night hike for the near full moon. We set foot on the trail at about 7pm in the declining heat. Near the old Carney Springs Campground Bruce spotted a large Gila Monster. Pretty cool...
