Re: AZT in a Day!

@toddak are you doing any of the AZT in a Day?
We're doing our part on 35 from the Boundary to Powerlines and then the next day finishing off 35 from Boundary to Moqui Station. I know Karl and Kathy are doing a section too (Passage 28). Haven't heard if any HAZers are participating.

Re: Non-cotton active sports shirts

I use Sport-Wash for my hiking and gym clothes. It really is a great product, I get it on amazon: Sport-Wash Residue-Free Laundry Detergent rinses completely. It leaves nothing behind to reduce fabric performance, and also removes the residue from other lost features like water repellency, wicking o...

Re: Museum Fire

For me to be clear, I am not upset they are throwing everything they have at this fire. It’s more lamenting the fact that this kind of response was not given to Woodbury. They kind of said from the start, hey we going to let this one burn. Not sure how someone determines the Peaks are culturally or...

Re: RS Route + Triplog

I used the Note function up at Glacier (to note that we had lunch at the old Three Mile Cabin Trail), but only one time. I should have used it more but I only just noticed it. I haven't seen it translated as I haven't uploaded any of those routes yet. Anyway, I think I'll like it.

Re: Woodbury Fire - Superstition Wilderness

I just found the "smoke" map and I think the smoke was from the Woodbury fire as the Badger Springs wasn't burning anywhere that we could see.

Re: Woodbury Fire - Superstition Wilderness

not sure why we were seeing so much smoke (a light layer) driving in on the 17 an hour ago. Would it have spread that far east?

Re: Woodbury Fire - Superstition Wilderness

this is pretty amazing video. I don't know if the link will work though but it's quite the video (showed a retardant drop, a huge smoke bloom, a raging fire and black smoke. It was quite something): https://www.facebook.com/FOX10Phoenix/videos/2293544544086249/UzpfSTE1MTIxMjQ1ODM6MTAxNTcxNDE5MjA4MDQ...

Re: Woodbury Fire - Superstition Wilderness

saw this on the FB Supes page: from a Steve Jorgensen 4 hrs I have a friend who works for the Forest Service. He says they are talking about burning out Hwy 88 from Canyon Lake to Roosevelt to keep the fire from jumping the Salt River to the Four Peaks side. Jim Lewis: Backburnes may start this even...

Cape Final for sure. Cape Royal is great toward sunset. Also, you can to that little https://hikearizona.com/decoder.php?ZTN=810 from the Lodge and of course include https://hikearizona.com/decoder.php?ZTN=418. Between Widforss and Uncle Jim I'm not sure which I would prefer but probably Uncle Jim f...

Yep, this will work just fine: why not tap triplog then finish it on a desktop/laptop with stats filled in and route included?

Re: RS Route + Triplog

A work in progress, months in development surfacing recently - keeping HAZ Fresh Example is urban overkill for most and not the most becoming format.
