That is the second most I have recorded in May, most was .98 inch back in 1992. I most enjoyed the li...

Re: It's the Solstice!

@Jim_H
No, I can't feel it. Sunsets have been getting later since December 10th, but more importantly, Sunrises won't start getting earlier until January 16th. So, I won't "feel it" (aka fired up) until March.

Pete Cowgill

One of the founders of the Southern Arizona Hiking Club and a hiking legend down here in Southern Arizona. I'm glad I got to hike with him occasionally over the years. https://tucson.com/news/local/pete-cowgill-founder-of-southern-arizona-hiking-club-honored-on/article_500541cc-fd12-5c9c-80d7-9787dd...

Re: Hiking vehicles

Whatever you buy, just make sure it has 4WD or AWD (in the case of SUV types). If you opt for rear wheel drive or front wheel drive only, you will regret that decision in tougher road situations (this does not apply if your driving will be only on easy maintained roads). Just get the right tool for ...

@CannondaleKid
I don't wash my vehicles, so it's a moot point to me. :lol: I got about half inch Tuesday evening, but the last two nights the storms have favored areas up your way.

Ah, the good old flash flood watch...what better way to kill off chances for significant thunderstorm activity (at least down here in southeastern Arizona). Day late and a dollar short guys. :lol:

@chumley
True. The energy from last night's wave held together all the way over the coastal mountains and offshore to at least San Clemente Island (with lots of dust in Anza Borrego to Palm Springs). The flow is unusually strong right now. Looks like a repeat tonight for SoCal. Weird & wild!
