Re: Smart Outdoor Watch-What do you wear?

I am looking at a K watch which is still being tested. Now it won't help me with God at least so far. But it will monitor my blood sugar and tell me the time.
I am just getting tired of sticking my self to check my blood sugar levels.

Is there a road to Hope Camp?

I want to leave my car there but can’t seem to find a road there.
I am looking to leave my car there and shuttle to Colossal Cave park and hike back to my car.

Re: SPOT 2

Well I really like it a lot. I did one hike and wasn't feeling well. So I texted my wife and had her pick me up at a different trailhead. Which was great and she took me back to pick up my car.

Re: Off Trail/Route finding skills - how to learn/where to start?

Good advice in this thread. Not really on topic but worth mentioning... I like to carry a SPOT to let people know where I am. There are a few options out there (Garmin in-reach, SPOT, ResQlink, etc) and it's something I always carry with me when I am exploring more remote and less traveled areas. P...

Re: Hiking with Dogs in the Tucson area

@LindaAnn
Thanks for the information as I been running into issues about hiking with Rowdy.
I even looked it up on the Hiking Project which is part of REI which list all those trails as no dogs allowed.
I guess I will try and put all those trails together and do them all at once.

Hiking with Dogs in the Tucson area

Every time I look up a hike anywhere in the Tucson area I always get dogs not allowed.
I would think there would be a way to filter dog friendly hikes.

Re: What's in your first aid kit?

I have a old style first aid kit and I also carry some prescription Morphine even though I haven't had to use it in almost a year. But it is nice to have just in case. I will say that my Somewear is part of my first aid planning. Hiking with Rowdy there's always a chance that a first aid kit on it's...
