Re: 2020 Fire Season

Also, save some mileage and fill up in Superior. It' the same price as Miami, and you don't have to deal with all the construction traffic between the two. yeah but I'll take the 15 degree temp change you get once you get to Top of the World. Felt good on the bike. Construction wasn't bad when we w...

I'm waiting for my corona stimulus check so I can buy one of these. AZT better let me use it along the trail too. It's the ultimate mobility device providing total barrier-free access to all.

my thoughts exactly. So the question is what did he do to get demoted or sent to sit in the corner. Or is he on the way out and needed a cushy job for a year or 2 before retiring?

Yepp. Nailed it!

We just spent almost 4 days up east of Payson and didn't really hit any trails. Saw tons of elk and deer and the dog loved it. Didn't meet a soul in the woods.

Re: Coronavirus and hiking

Sometimes it just might just come down to knowing where to go. I've only been here since November but this morning I took an almost 2 hr run and only passed 1 older couple. No cars at the TH/parking area. Beautiful views and I know just a few miles away people are still pouring into the trails like ...

Re: Coronavirus and hiking

@AZLumberjack yes. This is what I've been saying for the last 2 weeks. Especially if you're trying to hike on a weekend during mid day. It's a madhouse so we just choose to either go before sunrise and be done by 8am or so. Or just head to far away less traveled places. Siphon draw and trails of th...

Re: Coronavirus and hiking

went out to Willow springs TH this am for a nice 3 hour run. Some day I'll make it all the way to that darn river :). Only 3 cars there at 8am but about 10 cars around 11am. Still not bad. On the way up the trail tons of cars pulling into 1st water and even more heading towards Canyon Lake. So not m...

Re: Coronavirus and hiking

@CannondaleKid couldn't agree more. We live about 10-12mins from that parking area on 1st water. It's been a zoo every time it rains. Even on a weekday before this virus stuff all started. We went today a few miles from 1st water road and had a great hike and didn't see a soul. Massacre falls is pr...

Re: Anyone else a trail runner?

That sounds like an errr......interesting run. Haven't seen any javelina yet. Typically it's just rock, dirt, gravel, more rock and about 10' of narrow single track in front of me :)

Re: Reavis Ranch Trailhead

The gate is closed at Tortilla Flats with a sign on it that says no trespassing. Guess you can't even walk the road if you wanted to. There is some truck activity going in and out though so I guess I understand the no Trespass until it's cleaned up. A few days ago there was even someone manning the ...

Anyone else a trail runner?

Looking for other individuals who may be into trail running. While we enjoy taking the dog out and hitting the trails for a hike we also like to trail run. Looking to meet others that may want to join or get together for a run some day or just share your running experiences. I'm fortunate enough to ...

sorry. for me I don't see the point in not being to add a pic or 2 to a post or thread. I've been on or belong to dozens of forums and this is the only one that doesn't allow pics within the individual posts. I lose all interest in having to go up here, click over there, search for this trail..... o...

I only have 2 of them I was going to post to this thread but I don't think it likes the shape/ratio. It won't upload them.

I get this error when attempting to add this post. "It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image. Please verify that the URL you entered is correct."
