You may; however the rate is the same as if you rent a canoe, according to the outfitter.

Also, for an add'l charge above the 65., touring kayaks may be rented. I'd guess that it would run 95 ttl.

You could try West Fork from the top (off Woody Mountain Road, SW of Flag) exiting @ the West Fork trailhead in Sedona. (this would involve a shuttle, of course) It has water after mile 4 or so, and is about 12 miles total. There will be 3 or 4 pools to swim; none longer than 50' , if memory serves....

I've backpacked this area 5 or 6 times. A lot of solitude; good water sources. Nice scenery. I usually stay at Luna Lake campground the night before to acclimatize & eat in Alpine @ Bear Wallow Cafe. Last trip (last Sept.) I even arranged for a drop off so that I could do a hike as a "shuttle" hike ...

Memorial Day W/E > Tonto Creek <

Hi, Friend's Hiking Club is hiking/canyoneering Tonto Creek over Memorial Day. This is going to make a terrific long w/e getaway. We'd likely need 3+ to 4 days, though. "Tonto Creek is a massive drainage in the heart of the Mogollon Rim country. After heavy rains, it can flow up to 60,000 cubic feet...
