Re: Redflex Corruption

P.V. has no municipal property tax....that would affect the residents. It's a better political move to 'tax' all those who pass through > In fiscal year 2016-17, the Town of Paradise Valley issued 47,651 photo radar tickets, which accounted for $2,195,989 in gross fine remits — with $606,726 provide...

MP3 wireless connection to car stereo

I have a Bluetooth capable Alpine head unit and am in the market for an MP3 player that will sync WIRELESSLY to the head unit. Yes, I understand that phones can do this. I am aware of transmitters that attach to MP3 players that may get the job done, but then there are 2 separate units. I am looking...

School bus cameras fueled the luxurious lifestyle of the top executive at Force Multiplier Solutions for years. On Monday, US District Judge Barbara M.G. Lynn issued a forfeiture order forcing Robert Carl Leonard Jr to give up the trappings of wealth he accumulated with an automated system for ticke...

We have a Frontier for a shop truck (235k and climbing)... V6 Pretty bomber and without the $ premium one needs to give for a Tacoma (although they are awesome). Nissan had a recall on bad radiators that allowed coolant into the auto. trans, fluid, ruining first the solenoids then the trans. Be cert...

Re: WB US60 to close in Tempe

I believe it was Hallman who was against adding WB US60 lanes without also constructing more I-10 lanes to accept the wider 60 *. As we can see, he was/is correct. This ADOT gyration is merely another 'treat the symptom, not the disease' move. Akin to those white, plastic posts to delineate the I-10...

WB US60 to close in Tempe

The westbound stretch of US 60 (Superstition Freeway) in Tempe will be closed this weekend (July 13-16) as part of an ongoing safety project designed to improve traffic flow and reduce crashes between Rural Road and the Interstate 10 interchange, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation...

Re: Access to Lava River Cave from I-40 / FR171

Even when the road is not at its best it is likely 20 min. quicker (from I-40/I17) than going through Flag & 180 - IF they are not reconstructing the I-10/I-17 Interchange for the 3rd time.
PLUS.... you can visit The Roadhouse with its terrific craft/draft selection!

Re: Best place to grab a post-hike craft beer

@hikeaz Every business venture the ex-owner of Nimbus, Jim Counts, was associated with ended in court. Yep.... by just about anyone's account, he's a shifty dude. Starting about 20 years ago when no one else was a player, he and Nimbus should have OWNED Tucson. He's avoided mostly all the Az. Brewe...

NIMBUS (also Tucson) appears to be in trouble or defunct. (again)

Re: Apache Sitegreaves Backpacking Ideas

You do not mention the time of year for your trip, but I would suggest the Black over the Blue this time of year due to elevation and better chance for fish. Bear Wallow is one access point - nice camping near the Black/B.W. confluence. Note: Investigate White Mountain Apache Tribal permit requireme...
