Re: Vegan = higher plasma protein levels = faster recovery time

The TDF started in 1904, so I think it is safe to say, there were many people who have participated without the assistance of drugs, steroids, and blood doping. Even way back then, stimulants were commonly used, like cocaine, for example. People have been cheating in racing ever since it was better...

Re: Vegan = higher plasma protein levels = faster recovery time

Until they establish that anybody has ever participated in the race without the assistance of drugs, steroids, blood doping, or other nefarious means I don't think their actual diet can be taken into account. The TDF started in 1904, so I think it is safe to say, there were many people who have par...

Re: 2015: Rain, Snow, Wind, and Sun!!!!!!

The Tucson NWS is talking about monsoon moisture beginning to creep in from the south or east as this week progresses. Pretty much south and east of the Tucson area. What is with the brown haze? It seems to be smoke from a distant fire, and there is a lot of it. I could see superstition land marks ...

Re: what is the best gps device?

I think the flyer is saying that the lower prices are the sale price and after May 25 they are returning to the higher price. Which I believe is their regular price. So you would need to buy them between the 15th and the 25th to get the lower price. Unless I am misreading? The sale prices seem prett...

Re: solar charging devices

I like the Anker batteries. They charge a phone fast, are easy to use, cheap. The newest ones with the LED ring are nice, although I have the older ones with the built in LED flashlight, it is fine too.

Re: Lightweight tents

I am really happy with my REI Passage 2 tent. It is the upper limit of what I would consider a "backpacking" tent, weight - wise. But it is dead-simple to put up, has a lot of room and has withstood a decent bit of weather - rain and high winds. Vertical side walls - a lot of the light weight tents ...

Re: Depopulated?

I-11. There are signs announcing it on u.S. 93. Exact alignment has not yet been determined. My vote would be to run it straight up 60 & 93, since there is existing right of way, appropriate bridges, and it is direct. Anything that diverts to the west, like one alternative plan, would defeat the pu...

Ever at any time of year, or associated with anything? Unfortunately I never could identify the reason it happened, couldn't ever correlate it with a season or anything. I suspect it was some kind of allergic response to some kind of environmental trigger, like dust or pollen, but it would happen r...

It doesn't take you all the way directly to the summit; however you are not too far, you could hoof it on the road for probably less than a mile and reach the summit.
