I disagree and feel like we owe it to ourselves and HAZ to relitigate that thread.

Re: Was a 'quickapelli' for years...

@joebartels
I lied about not knowing the reference ;) mainly just feeling self conscious about losing the 'quickapelli' label. Not sure I ever truly earned the 'quickapelli' moniker given even when I was 18 I couldn't keep up with Wally..

Noticed today that I'm a "narrative voice kokopelli" (not sure of reference here) .. I guess Joe noticed that avg speed has dropped quite a bit from prime...

@CannondaleKid

Thanks for the correction that was just rewording the headline of the article.

An idiot starting a brush fire still has nothing to do with gender identity.

Guess it's just something that y'all think about a lot. :P

Re: Another Gender Reveal gone bad

Words that if included in a HAZ post will spark discussion regardless of any context...

"gender", "gun", "cat".

This post was about a brush fire and less than three responses later it is somehow about gender identity.

I always heard it was millenials who were supposed to be bad at focusing...

Re: Hiking Group Size Limit & Popular Destination Control

Have a larger impact on Flora, Fauna, and the Land - This sort of intuitively makes sense but there hasn't been a ton of research on group size and impacts on wildlife and protected areas.It would also be hard (impossible?) to sort out the specific impact of large groups vs. more intensive visitor ...

@Jim_H

I was anticipating using Crosscut th so we don't have to fork out money to park. I guess we could use Lost Dutchman if someone has a State Parks pass.

Re: Superstition Ridgeline week of 1/21

Shall we say Tuesday then? I've only done from Carney to Flatiron, other direction might be my preference. Meet at Carney Springs at 8 to set up shuttle? I will have a compact car aka up to four ppl if I'm driving.

Hey all, It doesn't look like this is gonna end up working for me. Have been waiting for a date that the moving company is going to deliver our stuff and it ended up the weekend of the 12th. I'll be back soon. Maybe we can get in something in the Supes when it cools off. Sorry for being a flake on t...

Re: Hermit-Boucher Loop in October

So between the time that I posted this event and today my wife and I took new jobs and are in the middle of a move to the Central Valley. I haven't applied for permits for this hike. I'm trying to see how I could make this work. Do you guys think a day-hike would be feasible? I could fly into PHX th...

Hermit-Boucher Loop in October

Hi folks, Any interest in a Hermit-Boucher loop in the Grand Canyon at some point in October? I'd love to see old hiking buddies again, it's been too long! Some of my favorite (and least favorite) hiking memories were with you guys! I'm looking at two nights in the Canyon, one in the Boucher Creek a...

Re: Deer Creek/Thunder River loop

@hikeaz
Would you say the hike from Upper Tapeats to Stone Creek and back is a good day hike option? Have two nights at Tapeats so won't be able to spend a whole day at Stone.
