Re: hiking partner over July 4th weekend

lets remember tho, just because he's new to the valley does not mean hes not acclimated yet. theres a big difference if somebody pushes a mop of tar on roofs for 50 hrs a week and somebody who pushes a pecil in the ac for 35. hiking is a alot easier for me, no toolbelts, no carrying studs on my shou...

Re: GC "deepest elev drop point= 6000 ft."

norway is amazing! probably the most jumped cliffs in the world. alot of 3ooo' footers, and i believe the Troll Wall was around 4, but its illegal to jump now. alot of people are opening sites on baffin island, supposedly there is a 5000'ft wall that is 1000'ft overhung. now thats a cliff! id love t...

Re: GC "deepest elev drop point= 6000 ft."

well im new to the forum but have to chime in on this one. alot of people have different ways to measure height. being a B.A.S.E. jumper for the last 8 years ive heard it all. "go to the grand canyon, its 5 thousand ft to the bottom" is a big one. you'd be very lucky to find 900' shear there. anothe...

Re: car camping around flag

Re: Fossil Springs

Re: Fossil Springs

thanks. we actually were going to the springs. the reason i asked was when i was there in 2006 it was 2 days after 7 people were helcoptered out, and the dry creek bed you see when you first get to the bottom was running, but slowly. so that , in turn, muddies up the water downstream. did find a cou...
