You may also want to check in the Arizona Forum on MTBR, I know there are members there that have done similar rides.

Re: Usery bee attack - Alex Bestler

What I am curious about is, did they come near a hive or was the swarm that suddenly appeared in migration? I'm guessing there is a hive nearby, I have only been on Vista trail once and it was several years ago, but I do remember there was a hive there at that time and they had the typical Bee Warn...

Re: Fossil Creek spillover

The last time I tried to go to Fossil creek the FS already had the road blocked due to too many people already being there. They also were handing out maps with nearby "similar" areas to visit instead. Wet Beaver was on there, so in a way they have already been redirecting people that way for a while.

Keep an eye on your stuff!

Posting this more as a heads up than anything else, or more for me to vent a little about letting my guard down and not securing valuable items. If I was the only victim, I would probably let it go, but it turned out to be a camp wide incident. Last Friday morning, hiked down to Havasu camp grounds,...

Re: Havasu Canyon - Prep, Gear & Tips

Thanks that's the info I was looking for. I saw some more pictures and videos on instagram that looked severe and i read that some people were stranded down stream overnight and some were even helicoptered out in tje last 2 days. I guess I'll keep a close eye on things for next week.

Re: Havasu Canyon - Prep, Gear & Tips

reviving an old thread once again. I went to havasu Falls in 2012 at the end of sept and it seemed like the perfect time weather wise. We have reservations to go again here in just over a week. Well this year Sept has been a bit more rainey. I've been keeping an eye on the weather up there and today...

I checked them both out this past week. Lower gear was good, the lady working said we just missed the owner that day and that he is the best at anwsering questions. We also got some info on their rental program, might even rent the tent. Hacking shack was good too, the guy there was very helpful. Se...
