Re: Cherry Creek

Since nobody replied one way or the other, I'll ask my question. What would yooz guys think of my idea to mountain bike DOWN Cherry Creek Road from circa Young back to its intersection with AZ-288? Would it be fun, beautiful, and most importantly, relatively easy?

Yet another minced gall bladder photo! Are HAZers so devoid of even a scintilla of imagination that they can't post something new to this once-distinguished forum?

Re: Cherry Creek

Is this discussion devoted solely to Cherry Creek memorial questions and feedback, or can I inquire about another Cherry Creek idea I've cogitated on for years?

There's got to be an insidious motive behind it. He/it has never done anything in his life to benefit anyone other than himself. Is it a done deal? If not, tell him/it to shove it where the sun don't shine.

"Maybe"? There's no "maybe" about it! Note the date on this photo, [ photo ] . You're a lucky woman that I'm ONE CLASSY DUDE, or I might have replied with a classless "I TOLD YOU SO".

Whatever calendar you're using, throw that SOB in the trash. No way it's been 12 years since we bagged Tonto Creek.

Re: Western Drought

@chumley It appears to moi that you didn't read the entire report. The LONG-TERM DROUGHT CONDITIONS section of the report paints a much grimmer forecast for us Arizonans. Me thinks it would be ill-advised to follow your build more golf courses suggestion at this time. But then again, if you're audi...

Re: Passages 1, 2 and 3 Huachuca through Canelo Hills West

Sounds to moi that you're talking about sections 16 & 17 of the AZT. If those sections don't fill up your 4 night, 5 day criteria, then there's enough spectacular country adjacent to those two sections of the AZT to keep all but the most jaded hiker happy for a lifetime, e.g. Kilns of Cochran, Box C...

Re: "Official" Mileage - Flagstaff Sections

The Baseball Hall of Fame uses an "*" to designate a questionable record (see Barry Bond's home run record). Maybe HAZ should adopt a similar convention, e.g. AZT*. Just a thought.

Is Superior Az. south enough for you? If so, it seems to moi that section 16 & 17 of the Arizona Trail is exactly the backpack you're referring to.

Re: utah favorites

@azbackpackr Yo ABPer, On reading your post I had one reaction, "WHAT"? As long as you've lived in Arizona you've never been to Utah? NOTE to ABPer: there are adventure opportunities (make that "unbelievable adventure opportunities") north of the Grand Canyon. IMHO, everything south of I-70 could/s...

Still lookin' for ideas? For what it's worth, the following are links to the two spots I think are "final resting spot" worthy:

If you'd like some ideas, feel free to check some/all of the Utah photo sets I've posted on Ha...

That's why Joe B invented the HAZ Events Page. As the James Earl Jones character said in "Field of Dreams" , "If you post it, they will come".
