Re: Diamond Point

We just went up there yesterday (no joke!) We went in a standard pick up truck not lifted, roads are fine, my little passenger car could have made it up the look out road. Re: Planning a trip to Skull Cave!

I planned on doing nothing more than photograph the cave. not only is it a battle site/grave site, it is a historic place to be remembered and protected! I have read and re-read the stories of the battles that took place there and when my tiny "crew" and I arrive I planned on telling them the tales ...

Re: Planning a trip to Skull Cave!

awesome, thanks Joe, my cousin keeps saying BTC is the best way to go but you're right i think it's too far over. :) i google earth'd the apache trail and it tells me to pull over on part of it park, launch and paddle downstream to the cave, i'm not sure if that's do-able though, i suppose depends h...

Re: Planning a trip to Skull Cave!

haha, my cousin said he found a route to the cave from the lake via canoe at 4 miles, i only see one way and its very very long (as you know!) we're thinking of trying that next year in the summer so at least we can enjoy a swim now and then rather then freezing our bums off! we've decided to take H...

Re: Dutchman's Mine

Big Lost Dutchman maniac here, been hiking those mountains since i was 8 years old! Found many "rock houses" as Dick Holmes always mentioned, i've read most every book that can be found in AZ referring to the Dutchman and if all the clues are added up...you don't end up anywhere in particular haha h...
