Re: Red Rock Pass Lies

Was the FS volunteer saying you needed a Red Rock pass or was it some other pass? I could have sworn that I saw a sign saying "You are now leaving the red rock recreation area" while traveling west on 89A, just before the turnoff for Paige Springs.

I heard about that one on the news here in Phoenix this morning. My uncle said he can see it from Marin County. :(

Re: Syria

IF YOU DON'T want the US fighting a war in Syria, NOW IS THE TIME to call/email your Senators/Representatives and the White House to keep out of a conflict that is not ours! I've been doing that for about two weeks now. There is usually a box to check if you want a reply, I check it and no replies ...

Why does it always rain while I'm at work and it's 112* when it's my day off? :(

The last time I got one there were no classified adds in it and it was barely enough to line the bottom of my bird's cage.

Re: Syria

I miss the Cold War, all you had to worry about is being instantly incinerated. Being the only World Power left kind of blows. Everybody wants us to take care of everybody's mess and then condemns us when we do.

Re: Park loaded with Round-tailed Ground Squirrels

Then again, cows are really dumb. The only dumber critter I've seen in a pasture are Inca Doves. They will just stand there eating and get stepped on by cows. so should we get rid of humans? Some, anyway?? I'm with you there But have you ever seen how fast livestock will move when chased by canines...

Re: Park loaded with Round-tailed Ground Squirrels

@gummo
It seems like hooved animals have evolved to be compatible with critter holes in the ground. They have no toes or heels. the foot goes in the hole and comes right back out. So, I'm leaning toward myth also.
