@LosDosSloFolks You’re too young to remember :o ... but this place was once policed by someone with one of the best senses of humor I’ve ever encountered. Alas, times change... :--:

Oh no, Joe our esteemed leader and master cat wrangler has allowed it to live in another form. Where as mine generally get sent to the locked room. Which is not necessarily a bad thing. We must think of the children.

I have to say he is the first person I ever knew that was in the Federal Witless Protection Program. Then I joined this group.

Soooo today's color will be red. We all know this is the time of year to dodge doves and the other day one failed to pull up in time and WHAM! We were in the FJ and this dove hit square in the center of the grill/hoodline and well our windshield now looked like something from a Stephen King movie. My wife and I put out a collective OMFG! The windshield was now an homage to Jackson Pollock, feathers, chunks and lots of red. We commented that we didn't think there was that much to a dove. Well the next morning I decided to wash the FJ, something I've put off in since Sept. of 2012. Right away I saw the reason for the blood and guts and volume.....our white wing friend had gorged himself on saguaro fruit, hence all the red and seed chunks. The downside is I don't want to drive on any dirt roads now and get the truck dirty.

So, do you now know what it sounds like When Doves Cry?
There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."

Thankfully the odds of hitting a flying penguin in AZ. are very slim.

Back in college made a road trip up to Telluride to visit a friend working a summer job there. Couldn't figure out why everyone was staring at my beat up old Toyota Corolla while I cruised around town. Then I noticed the dead bird stuck in my grill with wings outstretched when I got out of my car.

@Alston_Neal - It's been about 25 years or so, best that I can remember is it wasn't anything worth shedding a tear over.

I didn't remember posting to this topic prior to today; should have checked B4 chewing my tobacco twice.
