Bear Grylls Adventure

Postby chumley » Jan 07 2013 11:18 am

Looks like Bear Grylls (the survivalist guy who stays at the nearby Holiday Inn while pretending to be living off the land) is starting a new reality show that appears to be similar to the Amazing Race.

They're holding a tryout for people who want to play along. (Sat, Jan. 12, 10-4 at Superstition Springs Center in Mesa.)

Take part in a new adventure competition series along with the king of survival experts, Bear Grylls!

Teams of two will be dropped in a remote wilderness location. Make it to the end and win the reward of a lifetime!!

Now casting confident & competitive duos: Married • siblings • parent/child 18+ • best friends • Engaged couples • co-workers • dating • exes • HikeArizona.com members

Join Bear Grylls and see if you have what it takes to survive the wild, testing your courage, determination, teamwork and leadership skills. There will be plenty of surprises every step of the way. Avoid elimination and you’ll go home as the winner & much, much richer!

This is the ultimate outdoor adventure competition show!

What HAZ members do you think would make a good duo for wilderness survival?

I'm taking Jonnybackpack. We'll die within a matter of hours, but at least we'll be drinking good beer the whole time. :D

Pro wrestling is less scripted than "reality" shows ... :SB:

I'll go with just about anybody and rest assured that with adequate preparation, backpacking rarely presents a life-and-death situation. It probably doesn't make for very good TV, though.

Wonder how he would react to stepping on a dog squeeze toy at 2am while on a night hike.
