Downstream from Havasu Creek, Diamond Creek flashed yesterday on the Hualapai Reservation. Data page shows 4500 cfs, but also, the gauge seems to now be busted. Usual flow is about 3 or 4. The beach there at the Colorado River is an important take-out for Grand Canyon river trips, although not the only one. I drive a bus there, down 22 miles of rough dirt road, about 3x a week. Yesterday I drove out of there at noon with 23 passengers. Apparently it flashed a few hours later. When the road is closed, my company picks up passengers at Pearce Ferry, another 55 miles downstream.
