Google Earth anomalies

Post by chumley » Oct 08 2014 1:06 pm

Apparently Apple isn't the only tech co that can screw up maps.

For those of us who use Google Earth to research Grand Canyon routes, you know that occasionally how it overlays the image on the topography can be a little off.

Some guy has compiled some great images. Most are of roadway bridges that look really fun to drive!

I did a quick check on GE, and Glen Canyon Dam, Navajo Bridge and Hoover Dam feature these "extreme" bridges. Strangely, both White and Silver Bridge near Phantom Ranch appear to be correct.

There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."
