Correct, we were just hoping for a quick second HAZ opinion since Larry had this hike planned for manana and he does not have cell service where he is now camping.
In the case of Pueblo, I'd say the easy answer is no, at least not from above.big_load wrote:I'd still like to know if it's possible to reach the ruins from above.
Official word from Oregon_Hiker today, Sun-2/11/18: "The rock slide is very old. The trail crosses it."Grasshopper wrote:Oregon_Hiker.. plans to hike into Pueblo Canyon Ruins tomorrow Sun-2/11am. On 2/9 Oregon_Hiker talked to a hiker who told him that a "rock landslide" across the trail route now prohibited further access to the Pueblo Canyon Ruins..
Another Case of...don't believe everything you hear, or read.....
The guy was riding an ATV, said he and his wife had 1.5 hours of available time to hike when they came to the "landslide". He was unclear about whether or not they were even on the correct trail but had reached a location where they could see the ruins across the canyon. He obviously wasn't a trust worthy source but at the time I just wanted to make sure before taking my son-in-law and his dad on that hike.chumley wrote:do we have any reason to believe that the person he talked to was making it up?
