How you clean the Canon Mark 2 sensor and the 24-105

Post by Alston_Neal » Nov 29 2017 3:09 pm

Knowing how popular photography is here and the fact our cameras are exposed to adverse conditions, I thought this would be helpful.

Just be sure to use unscented soap. Otherwise you get the smell if dish soap every time you bring the camera up to your face.

Did he forget to use the recommended Scotch-Brite stainless steel scrubber pads? :scared:

@Alston_Neal I just cringed through the whole video. I wonder how long before you can use the camera again, and what the chances are of it working again.

One of the highlights for me was when he rubbed the sensor with this thumb.

I couldn't believe it when he stuck the hose in the opening and turned it on.

That for me was the zenith of the video and an analogy to the essence of man. When all is said and done, cram a hose in and pressure wash it. You're now good to go.
