Spot Satellite messenger?

Post by jilmarieaz »

Anyone using the spot satellite messenger. Wondering if worth the buy. Any other device recommendations for when cell service is not available?

There was a thread about this a while back with discussion. In the forum go to gear, then electronic and gps, then page 2. you will see the spot thread. I still use mine and like it.

Starting to notice them more and more, attached to the top of packs, on the pictures posted on this site.

I've used it; not much personal benefit for the hiker other than peace of mind, but the loved ones loved it.
