Snow Peak - Pack & Carry Fireplace Kit ST-032SET

Post by joebartels »

I've contemplated adding a portable fireplace to my fanny pack. Curious if anyone is using the Snow Peak - Pack & Carry Fireplace Kit?

snowpeak.com list the weight at 31.5 lbs

Whereas Amazon not only cuts the price 18% but the weight too
Product Dimensions: 17.8 x 17.8 x 13 inches ; 1 pounds
Shipping Weight: 28.3 pounds

I've been using this unit for quite some time. I use a Stansport fanny pack and have to bungee cord it on "piggy-back style". Of course the 31.5 # weight is a misprint, as it is actually 31.5 kilos or just over 69 pounds. Small price to pay for having the ability to roast marshmallows or a leg of lamb like a pro.
If it ain't broke, don't break it.

This is why we have our dogger, it's the only thing she has to carry. It only weights a pound less than she does and she's never complained. Such a good doggy!

Indeed...I couldn't do it either without Mrs. SloFolks packing the 20# bag of Kingsford Briquettes.

See that's where you're missing the boat.
I myself prefer the Popeil Pocket Chainsaw.
