I met a guy in Boulder who seemed to make his living repairing discarded or garage-sale Coleman stoves and lanterns. The Boulder Army Store has a vast array of Coleman parts for all vintages. They also have some good deals on backpacking gear.azbackpackr wrote:The generators and such on the old Coleman would wear out, but you could always buy the parts to replace them.
I'm still using my Dad's white gas stove with a propane converter. Would buy another Coleman.big_load wrote:Yeah, if they still make 'em like they used to, you can't beat Coleman. Mine is about 25 years old. My dad's is closer to 50, but his is white gas. I miss all the pumping and adjustments.
