Supes Dayhike 1/17
I'll be in Phoenix for my nephew's wedding and I'm on the verge of concluding negotiations for a hiking day, probably in the Western Supes. Flatiron is a possibility, but I haven't thought much about it yet.

I might be able to Swing that...

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty & well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out & proclaiming, "Wow What a Ride!"
Re: Supes Dayhike 1/17
This is still on. I'm still thinking Flatiron, but I'm open to suggestions.

Wildcat Canyon, Cuff Button Loop....(might still be some worthy falls in Wildcat)
Campaign TH to Pinto Divide
Campaign TH to Miles TH, key swap or shuttle (shuttle would be a bit of time kill, but nice hiking)
Abandoned W. Pinto, Miles TH loop, or Cuff Button Loop

No, I usually like to get beyond the people. I was hoping it would be cold enough to keep the crowds down, but maybe not.Outdoor Lover wrote:Flatiron is going to be stupid busy on a Sunday....Have you ever done it?
Re: Supes Dayhike 1/17
Hmmm. Some of those are tempting, especially Campaign to Miles, but I might have trouble starting early enough. I'm not sure why I like that idea after what it did to me by going the other way, but it's nice country.friendofThundergod wrote:@chumleyIt isI bet it's flowing nicely

I've never been there. I'll have to check it out from my computer instead of my phone.chumley wrote:@mazatzal

Very tempting. I need to figure out my plans... and that's likely to be last minute, sorry.chumley wrote:@mazatzal

Re: Supes Dayhike 1/17
The "cold" is what usually brings people to the Flatiron, from what I understand. It's the wet that keeps most people away.big_load wrote:No, I usually like to get beyond the people. Well, if you want some of that Physical Challenge without as many People, I would suggest Picketpost.....big_load wrote:No, I usually like to get beyond the people. I was hoping it would be cold enough to keep the crowds down, but maybe not.

I guess it's a last-minute decision for me, too. Trying to fit with the family schedule, I need to get back before too late, so I'm sticking with Flatiron. I'll shoot to be started around 7:00. I'll stay tuned for attendees for a few more hours.
