Supes Dayhike 1/17

Post by big_load »

I'll be in Phoenix for my nephew's wedding and I'm on the verge of concluding negotiations for a hiking day, probably in the Western Supes. Flatiron is a possibility, but I haven't thought much about it yet.

I guess I am too late to join up with you.

Guess I'll try pickleball instead.

I'd Love to Join you Alex, but after being gone for a lot of the Day today and being in the Middle of a Project at the House too, I'm thinking I better stick around here tomorrow so my Mother doesn't Flip out too much about the Mess....
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty & well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out & proclaiming, "Wow What a Ride!"

I'm back in Jersey tonight; safe, but not entirely sound. It's been a while since a hike of any sort made my legs that sore. I think the Grand Canyon in 2004 was the one. My arms are a little sore from aiding the descent.

hopefully you'll be back to normal in a couple days.
For me, sometimes it's just as much about the journey as the destination.
Oh, and once in awhile, don't forget to look back at the trail you've traveled.
