Crane Flies

I've seen a ton of these on my patio this spring and just saw an article from Tucson about them too. Apparently it's a boom year due to the rains we've had.
adult crane flies do not bite, sting or suck blood. They are harmless.

Despite their common names, as adults, crane flies do not prey on mosquitoes
