It's looking bleak for the desert ranges where I enjoy them most... BYOW

The Autumn Foliage Reports on the home page should automatically switch to Spring Wildflower Reports on Jan 1st.

Judging by real data through triplogs and photos the west valley hikes look to be a good wildflower destination for this upcoming weekend.

In the last week I noticed the lower elevation poppies and daisies were on the decline. The unheard of 10% soaker rain storm we had two nights ago should be the saving grace for another 2-3 weekends.

Although we've seen scattered Brittlebush, the show is about to begin. The Brittlebush on Squaw have shot up their flower pods in the past few days. Always amazes me as they extend out a half foot or so.

South Mountain is kinda green but Squaw is just phenomenal right now.

SG here again. I had a great trip to southern AZ a month or so ago. Not too many flowers, but it was green and good. Now I get to come back soon for a super quick trip to Flagstaff. I'm flying in and out of Phoenix, but I'll be up north for a few days. Any suggestions where I *have* to hit so I can see flowers?
