We started our Pivot Rock Canyon hike yesterday at 74 degrees and ended in the early afternoon at 86.Outdoor Lover wrote:Not rubbing it in or anything...
Guess we had it pretty lucky then. Driving on 87 from Strawberry to the FR616 turn we did not see one vehicle. And from the time we left the highway, did the hike and returned to it the only thing that reminded us of civilization was a fire-fighting aircraft headed in a southerly direction. Other than that we were ALONE!Outdoor Lover wrote:By the way, if you're even thinking about coming up here this weekend, good luck. I think half of the Phoenix population must have had the entire week off. Forget any crazy idea about solitude.
