I-17 Closed - US-60 @ Salt River partially closed

Post by hikeaz » Aug 01 2014 9:05 am

US 60 update: An alternating lane of traffic is set up for the Salt River Bridge crash (mile post 286) between Globe & Show Low. Expect delays.

I-17 is closed at/near the 303 junction - SB backup begins south of SR74/Carefree Hwy. Expected to be closed through mid-afternoon.

Might be heading to Flag via Lake Mary Rd this afternoon...

The rollover is southbound. Even that should be open by afternoon. Northbound will be open sooner. The n/b frontage road is open (though slow with traffic) for detour/bypass. And you can take any of Scottsdale/Pima/Cave Creek to Carefree Hwy and get on north of the rollover as well.

But none of those options are more scenic than Lake Mary Road :)
