Hammock use

Does anyone know if it is doable to use a hammock on this trail. Thanks

Many do use hammocks, but finding a sufficiently sturdy prickly pear cactus will be a challenge in some locations.

But seriously, I'll defer to more experienced "hangers." We just did Passage 15 and I can't imagine finding a place in either of our campsites. (Yeah, two nights, we're kinda slow.)

I'd love to see someone using one under the bridges on the Colonel Devin segment.

I just posted on a similar thread. you frikkin' hangers are getting out of control.. pretty soon REI will go out of business due to lack of tent sales!

@te_wa Trust me if I could I’d be in my tent. I just had my knees replaced and can’t kneel down yet. Hopefully at a future daye

In AZ you need to be creative, between rocks, rock-tree, tree-fence post, tree-log braced in rocks and yes tree-tree. I am prepared to be on the ground, but have not yet. :y:

FYI - I have only done a couple sections of the AZT but know there are sections that a hammock would be tough to utilize or spend hours/miles searching.
