3 Days in "Paradise" with The Hippy

November 9/10/11 2012 (Fri/Sat/Sun)
I'll be leading a troupe into the Supes for 3 days of fun, hiking, exploring (and cartwheels, can't forget the cartwheels!) So of course everyone is welcome and encouraged to join us.
Day 1 (friday)
Roughly 2 1/2 hour drive from Peoria (where I live) so we'll plan on a 4am depart from home for an early start.
Depending on who all will join us I may opt to leave the night before (because I love night hiking

) but we'll take a vote.
We will begin at Reavis Trailhead (Reavis Ranch Via North #109) it's roughly a 9 mile hike to Reavis Ranch, there we will set up base camp
Day 2 (saturday)
From our base camp at Reavis Ranch we will head out to visit Circlestone and finish it up with a group bagging of Mound Mountain's peak at 6,266 feet. Shouldn't take the entire day to do this but we'll use the entire day to explore.
Day 3 (sunday)
Lazy morning of exploring the area followed by the 9 mile hike back to the vehicle(s) at Reavis Trailhead and home in time for supper!
3 days in the Supes, doesn't get any better than this....well, unless you're Elisha Reavis a century or so ago...

Who's gonna be carrying the ice for your foot once it's not "in use" !? (Poor Vince...)

I think Mother Nature will provide the ice.

I probably work monday, won't know until friii...oh that doesn't work does it?
PLC, there's a stream I'll throw my foot in there no problem.
As for crazy early start *I* wanted to leave at like 4am but Messers Boots and Chumley are extra lazy and think 6 is too early...
Frank, Kyle, Vince, you guys need to group together and meet out in tempe or sucker John into picking you up. I can't drive more than i already am

simply because slamming on the brakes in traffic this morning scared the living

out of me!! i thought i was gonna snap my ankle in half!

@HippyHaley
my understanding was that I'm riding with you and Chumley and would meet you at Chumley's place and we'd leave from there and that John's caravan would meet and leave directly from his place. Then we would all converge at the TH. Everyone else on the list is responsible for setting up their own carpools.

Was trying really hard to make it up this weekend, but my wife will be working. That means if I go up, my 7 year old son would be coming up with me.

I don't doubt that he cold make it, but with possible rain or snow in the forecast, I don't think it would be a good idea. Not to mention, having a 7 year old running around the place driving everybody nuts....

Kyle if that's what you heard then works for me. I was originally planning on being nice and picking you 3 up but I don't wanna deal with morning traffic with the ankle now...

Here is my plan...
Larry, Frank and Vince will ride with me in my jeep. We're all meeting at my place in Scottsdale and will be on the road around 7am. I plan on taking the 202 east and can meet Chumley's crew over by the Goldfield Mining Camp around 7:30am. Anyone else that wants to caravan can meet us there as well. My vehicle is full. We'll arrive at the trailhead around 9am. Any questions?

I actually think we might all need to meet at my house anyway since Vince will have to come by and drop off Rocco.

Gonna have a whole house full of hunters and hunter wannabe's. I get to be chief cook, which I don't mind. But this sounds like so much fun! Y'all have a great time, try not to get too silly! Someday I'll get to tag along!

The dog can ride in my jeep & I don't feel like driving down to Tempe & then heading east on the 60.
